A closer look at the Travis Scott x Nike Air trainer 1 SP “Grey Haze”

The Nike Air trainer 1 is having a bit of a moment, isn’t it? 2022 marks 35 years because Tinker Hatfield released the renowned cross-training sneaker, and with the re-release of the legendary “Chlorophyll” just around the corner, we’re now getting up close and personal with the upcoming Travis Scott x Nike Air trainer 1 SP “Grey Haze”. A collaboration that was first teased all the way back in August of last year, this has a trick up its sleeve that you might not have known.

Painted in a clean light grey colour scheme, this AT1 features corduroy uppers with mesh panelling gracing the toebox and heel for an extra rugged look. Soft yellow accents make their way throughout for a striking contrast, while “CACT.US CORPORATION” branding adorns the midfoot strap for a futuristic aesthetic. Nike Swoosh outlines are stitched across the sides, and zipped pockets can be found along the tongue and back to store your secret stash – but that’s not the only hidden feature that the “Grey Haze” has.

Looking around the upper you’ll find a series of pop rivets. At this point we’re not sure if the Travis Scott x Nike Air trainer 1 SP “Grey Haze” will actually launch following the Astroworld 2021 tragedy, but with months of time and effort put into the project we wouldn’t be amazed if they continued to release. let us know what you think of this collab, and while you’re here, you might as well take your best look yet at the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 low “Reverse Mocha”!
