Billionaire young boys Club Takes notes From the Japanese Bonsai tradition for This SS22 Collection

following on from its thrift store inspired FW21 collection, Billionaire young boys Club is back and ready to reveal the first drop of its Spring/Summer 2022 offerings. For this newest collection, the Pharrell Williams-owned brand has wanted to abstract expressionism alongside the tradition of the Japanese Bonsai tree for inspiration.

Specifically, this newest collection looks to two major art leads to offer even more ingenuity. Both Jackson Pollock’s and Sam Gilliam’s works have been examined, with signatures transferring from art to clothing. From Jackson Pollock’s side, we see his signature drip painting technique applied across workwear-styled jackets and shorts. In addition, Gilliam’s famed brush strokes are seen across a getaway t-shirt and a sweat set.

Elsewhere, we see a new “Bonsai-inspired camouflaged” grace both cargo pants and hoodies. This camouflage arrives atop a distinct olive shade and works in contrast with black, white and orange shades. Rounding out the selection, we also see patchwork denim, fleece hoodies, flannel t-shirts and much more.

For those wanting to get their hands on this upcoming Billionaire young boys Club SS22 collection, it is set to drop this Thursday, March 3rd on the BBC website. In other news, OBEY returns with a multitude of shades for spring/summer 2022.
